MONKEYOVERLAYS

Changelog

Changes in each version, as shown in the app.

0.20

  • Open beta: the first version for everyone, free, as a portable zip for Windows.
  • Starter layouts: Essential, Complete or one profile per session (practice, qualifying and race) while driving, and Spectator when you are out of the car. Pick it in the welcome guide.
  • Three OBS canvases in every profile: Onboard (you driving), TV (a broadcast with the camera director) and Free.
  • A button deck of your own for the phone or iPad: pages, images, stream, recording, microphone, volume, scenes, sources, clips and panic. Each button says why it is unavailable.
  • OBS: instant replay with the replay buffer, sources that show up with race events, pit and menu scenes, and dropped-frame and muted-microphone alerts.
  • Integrations on a board with each one's status, and a new layout editor with a widget catalog.
  • Race center: stream mode, sample data, “Send to stream” that also points the camera at that car, and a button to hide iRacing's interface while spectating.
  • Widget opacity now shows on Stream canvases and in OBS.
  • Tires without pit laps, solo qualifying without ghost cars, more accurate “slow car ahead” and “faster cars”, and the corner report from the first saved lap.
  • Uses the OneDrive Documents folder when Windows is set up that way, and the editor's live preview starts off to save resources.
  • Reviewed texts in Spanish, English and Portuguese, and a full privacy policy on the site.

0.19

  • Guided first run: language, screens, how to start and privacy. Reopen it from Options.
  • New version notice (optional) and “Report a problem” in Options, which opens the site's form with your version.
  • Usage statistics, without your name or account: chosen in the guide and turned off in Options, with “See what is sent”, “New ID” and “Delete what I sent”.
  • Overlay themes: Classic, TV, High contrast and No background, for the whole app or per canvas.
  • Phone layouts in portrait and landscape, and for tablets: the page picks one when you rotate the device.
  • Compact standings for phones: the leaders, a divider and the cars around you.
  • Driver notebook in the race center. The public link never shows your notes.
  • Telemetry vs best lap: completed sections stay unchanged as you drive, and an incident no longer clears the delta or T1–Tn.
  • “VS all-time best” uses your iRacing best from the first flying lap and no longer erases sectors.
  • Tires per lap: the widget no longer disappears. ABS, traction and the corner report only show when they have something to show.
  • The telemetry inspector advances pages automatically (overlays do not receive clicks).

0.18

  • The version shows in the app (0.18, closed beta) and these notes appear after each update.
  • Panic button: hides overlays, OBS canvases and sounds at once, from Home, the tray, Ctrl+Alt+H or the phone.
  • Phone control (optional, with a PIN): panic, switches, save a clip and test a celebration.
  • Celebrations v2: pole and qualifying, class or overall, fastest lap by session and more card data (iRating, SOF, laps led).
  • Opening-lap lines, detector sensitivity presets and OGG and M4A sounds.
  • Dedicated canvases for the phone and the public link, in phone and tablet sizes.
  • The public link has its own address and cannot control the app.
  • Phone layouts live in Stream, with sample layouts that fill the screen, and the public link always starts off.

0.17

  • Your own sounds for celebrations and jabs, with separate desktop and OBS volumes.
  • Graphics on air from the race center, with preview, TAKE and a preview monitor.
  • Your league's color and logo on Stream canvases.
  • 2D track map drawn from your own lap.
  • Docked panels in the race center: track map, linear map, fuel and weather.

0.16

  • Race center: standings, incidents, lap chart, history and a tablet view.
  • Camera, replay jumps, OBS clips and a stream banner from the race center.
  • Celebration personalization: your own texts and tests on every overlay.
  • New widgets: lap timer, speed delta, tachometer, info bar, wind, podium, inspector, traffic and car systems.
  • Saved reference lap across sessions.
