Profiles and canvases

A profile stores driver windows and its stream canvases. Switch compositions without placing every widget again.

A new install starts with six profiles and three stream canvases:

  • Essential: Relative, Delta bar and Fuel. The spotter, track reentry and flags show up on their own.
  • Complete: the essentials plus Standings, Tires, Inputs and Lap timer.
  • Practice, Qualifying and Race: one profile per session type, switching by itself.
  • Spectator: used when you are not in a car, with Standings, Relative, Focus car and Track map.

In the welcome guide you choose what you use while driving: Essential, Complete or by session type. You can change it by reopening the guide from Options. Every profile has the Stream · Onboard (you driving), Stream · TV (a broadcast with the camera director) and Stream · Free (empty, to build your own) canvases.

In the main window, select the active profile or create one by copying the current profile. Rename it and adjust widget visibility, position, scale and parameters. The app keeps at least one profile.

Enable automatic selection to associate the current car with a profile or choose another while spectating. Rules are evaluated in order. Current rules cover car and spectating; series and discipline rules are not available yet. Manual switching and automatic mode are separate controls.

  1. Add a canvas and choose its width and height, for example 1920×1080.
  2. Select widgets from the catalog. Each item has its own pixel position, scale, parameters and visibility.
  3. Drag and adjust the composition. You can repeat a widget with different options.
  4. Use the local canvas URL in OBS at the same resolution:
http://127.0.0.1:8745/canvas/<id>

The canvas shows the active profile. Keeping the same canvas ID across profiles preserves one OBS URL. A canvas is not a giant driver window: the stream composition is independent.

Profiles are saved locally; messages and carousel cycle also belong to the profile. The image folder is shared. Saving a profile uploads no data. OBS shares the composition only if you stream or record it.

Configure OBS · Adjust with a recording.
